Does this sound familiar?

The early bird gets the spot. Everyone else keeps searching. Reserved spaces belong to executives, even when they are working from home. Whatever is left over is distributed informally: by habit, by relationships, or by who asks first. The complaints end up with HR or Facility Management, wasting time that no one has. The paradox: many companies theoretically have enough spaces, yet parking utilization remains below 70 percent. Efficient parking allocation is possible. It just doesn't happen on its own.

Fair parking in 3 steps

Our dynamic parking allocation works fully automatically: from booking to parking ticket.

Step 1: Specify your requirements once
Office days, vehicle type, special requirements: whether a charging station, accessible space, or motorcycle parking. The profile is created once and remains saved.

Step 2: The algorithm calculates
Our parking optimization algorithm reconciles in real time: Who is coming when? Which parking areas are available? Which company rules apply to which role, location, or vehicle type? The result is efficient parking space utilization that could never be achieved manually.

Step 3: Everyone knows where they are parking
After the automatic parking allocation, every employee receives their digital parking ticket directly on their smartphone. No follow-up questions, no calls, no complaints. If you have a space, you know it. If you don't, you know that too, and you understand why.

Rule-based parking allocation

Individual company policies are implemented automatically and transparently in the parking allocation process. These include:

  • Clear booking rules: Employees with a defined priority level receive preference when booking.
  • Long-term parkers: Permanently assigned spaces are always taken into account.
  • Vehicle types: Electric vehicles are automatically assigned to charging stations.
  • Visitors: External guests receive reserved spaces based on their visitor status.
  • Site rules: Specific roles or functions can be assigned preferred parking zones.
  • Fairness mechanisms for overbooking: Employees who did not receive a parking space last time are prioritized in the next allocation.

Fair allocation, happy employees

After the automated parking space allocation by the algorithm, every employee automatically receives a digital parking ticket. This way, the staff knows their assigned parking space in advance. Permanent parkers and visitors are also included in the dynamic allocation process. If there are more bookings than available spaces, the algorithm calculates a fairness factor for the next booking, giving employees a better chance next time.

Before implementation, only a few employees shared their parking spaces, mostly with a small group within their own department. With the ParkEfficient solution, we have managed to make our limited parking space accessible to a large number of people through a very simple and practical smartphone solution.
